This week on thinkmiracle we have been talking about the benefits of exercise. Each week we choose one of our core or mission subjects and post content and inspirational quotes about it across social media platforms. Often the posts will resonate with people and lead them to look into what we do.
So, what do we do?
thinkmiracle is a not for profit organization I set up after losing everything, going through great pain, and waking up to what really mattered in life.
It was during the lowest point of my life financially, with a debt exceeding a half a million pounds that I found true happiness for the first time and realized what was actually important in my life.
The spiritual path I took enabled me to fast track to a different way of being, one of abundance and peace of mind. The turnaround was truly miraculous.
I went from a life of buying “things” to make myself happy—of displacement activities—trying to distract myself from the basic unhappiness at my core. I was not living authentically or following my truth, but instead, following society’s version of happiness.
As I began to feel all the things I could be thankful for, meditating daily, caring for my body, and following all of the practices on thinkmiracle, so I began to feel a sense of calm and inner peace. This came from being true to myself. I was able to see the beauty all around me, to stop and enjoy the now, instead of always seeking happiness tomorrow. I became comfortable in my own company, and at home in nature.
Once I realized that money is just a tool, and lost my fear of lack of it, then I realized I had all I needed…and more. Enough to indulge my love of sailing and the sea and my fascination with fast cars. But these things no longer bought happiness as before. Instead, I was content just sitting in my garden, or on the beach alone, and looking at the beautiful view. My happiness was where it had always been, in me. I just needed the key to unlock it.
During my discovery of spirituality I found so many of the people who professed to offering spiritual help or guidance were simply trying to sell me something. After a series of signs and “messages,” I realized my role was to make enough money so that I could offer these lessons for nothing and that was how thinkmiracle was born.
The name came to me in part because I already knew our words and our thoughts become our reality. So, if we can change our words and thoughts, then we can create our own miracles—and build a life of our dreams. It’s not about money, it’s about happiness, peace of mind, and about living a life that matters.
I read this poem by Michael Josephson when I want to remind myself of what truly matters in life:
“Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won’t matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived.
At the end, whether you were beautiful or brilliant, male or female, even your skin colour won’t matter.
So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you’re gone.
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.
Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.”
So what is the thinkmiracle program and where does exercise fit in?
Our program comes from many years of research online and in books and disseminating that information into straightforward, easy to understand steps that have the ability to change your life, as they changed mine.
All it takes is a commitment from you for a small amount of time each day to form new habits, positive habits.
Exercise is not just about the obvious benefits of keeping fit, but the subconscious message to yourself—I care for myself, I am grateful for the body I have, I love me.
It’s so easy when and if you choose to give it time.
Usually I cycle every day in France. I have come to love that time in the morning—in nature—getting fit. I get the double benefit of both exercise and feeling the rhythm of nature as I cycle along the beautiful French tracks and small lanes with only the rabbits , deer and birds as company.
Afterwards as I cool down with a glass of water in the garden, I feel a calmness, a satisfaction, knowing that as well as maintaining this body of mine I have rested my mind.
It’s a beautiful way to start the day. Some days it’s harder to muster the enthusiasm to leave my bed, I am human.
But that’s the point of thinkmiracle. I could never be classed as a “hippy,” I am just an ordinary guy, which means that outside of my meditating and thankfulness practice I live an everyday life. Yes I keep fit, but I am no athlete, I am mindful of what I eat and I endeavor to be kind…not always successfully, just ask my sister!
I am human, I make mistakes, I learn. That’s part of being human. But, I am so many times happier and more content inside than I ever was before integrating these habits into my life eight years ago.
If you think it’s time you took control of your life to find your happiness, you can.
We are, as I write this, about to upload our new online course to make it even easier to build the life of your dreams. All details can be found on www.thinkmiracle.org
Godspeed and love on your journey,
